For NC State, the offensive firepower was on full display. Running back Dylan McCoy rushed for 73 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Wide receiver Tex Vaughn led the receiving corps with 9 catches. The Wolfpack's scoring strikes included a 65-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter and multiple explosive plays that left Richmond's defense unable to adjust.

The win covered the 33-point spread easily and surpassed the 50.5 over-under, as NC State's dominant performance led to a running clock throughout much of the contest.
